- Monitor and improve safety within the area of responsibility

- Accident/incident records and statistics are maintained and analysed in accordance with organisational policy and procedures
- Best practice initiatives improving the environmental performance by reducing environmental risk and waste are identified, implemented and monitored
- Potential safety hazards are identified and reported in accordance with organisational procedures
- Recommendations for improvement are made in accordance with organisational procedures
